The Woodridge Local Schools Class of 2026 officially turned the page to its next chapter during commencement ceremonies held on May 20 at Blossom Music Center.

Surrounded by family, friends, staff, and community members, the graduating class celebrated an unforgettable evening filled with reflection, gratitude, pride, and Bulldog spirit.

Woodridge High School Principal Albert DiTommaso led the commencement ceremony, recognizing the accomplishments, perseverance, and growth of the graduating seniors throughout their time at Woodridge.

Superintendent Necole Ast introduced faculty speaker Beau Schluep, whose message encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, value relationships, and move confidently into the future.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Salutatorian June Kaser and Valedictorian Cameron Bates, who reflected on the memories, friendships, and experiences that shaped the Class of 2026 during their journey together at Woodridge.

Class President Claire Gregory closed the evening with heartfelt remarks that celebrated the unity and spirit of the graduating class while looking ahead to the opportunities awaiting each student beyond high school.

The evening was further highlighted by performances from the Woodridge Band and the Senior Ensemble Choir, whose performances added to the celebration and tradition of commencement night.

One of the most memorable and emotional moments of the evening came when graduate Michael Mami crossed the stage to receive both his diploma and the Courageous Bulldog Award. Michael received a standing ovation from the entire audience, including his fellow graduates, in a powerful show of admiration, support, and respect that captured the heart of the Woodridge community.

Woodridge Local Schools also extends a special thank you to all faculty and staff members who helped make commencement such a memorable evening for students and families. Special recognition goes to Jennifer Tromp and Cyndi Preising, as well as the entire custodial staff for their countless hours of work and dedication behind the scenes to help ensure a successful and meaningful celebration.
